Another highlight for us last week, was the generous gifts we received from the talented women from the ‘Hugs all Round’ group. Every child at Richmond School were presented with a gorgeous hand made quilt. Each quilt was personalised for each recipient with many reflecting the character of the child through it’s patterns and designs. I’m sure that you will agree with me that these gifts are a real treasure, a true keep sake.
A huge thank you to the members of the ‘Hugs all Round’ group. Your kindness is an inspiration to us all.
So what else have we been doing? Well we have begun our science focus with the Science Alive teachers arriving with their Forensic Fun Kits. Instantly, we were transformed into Forensic Scientist.
Within an afternoon we had combined our scientific and detective skills and successfully solved the mystery of the missing gob stopper recipe. Not the crime of the century but nevertheless one that took all our powers of deduction. A special thank you to our parent helpers Michelle and Usha.
For the next two weeks we will be undertaking a series of experiments that will help improve our understanding of the scientific problem solving process, while observing the change of matter and substances. You are most welcome to join us for some science fun.
