As part of our Sports and P.E programme we were fortunate to have the Cheap Skate van and tutor arrive for an hour long lesson and 'Give it ago' session. We converted our basket ball court into a skating rink and donned ourselves in our safety gear and skates and we were away.
At first many of us were very nervous but we quickly got the hang of it and soon we were spinning and twirling around our skating rink. As you can see from the photo's we had an awesome time and we look forward to build on our skating skills later this term when the Cheap Skates van is planning on returning. We can't wait!
We'll let you know when our next visit is closer to the time and maybe you'd like to join us.
We already know of one speedy Mum that is pretty proficient on wheels.
