Picasso Artists

Staff brain-stormed a range of teaching and learning opportunities we could implement into our school programme this year. One new initiative is to teach whole school art every Friday afternoon. Last week we had a visiting art teacher Artist Sharon, come along to class and teach our children about Pablo Picasso. One thing I learnt was that Kalis is very good at reading Spanish words and read aloud ‘Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso’ beautifully just like poetry. Picasso was very good at art and loved his daughter - she was his inspiration for much of his art work.
